By readiness, not by birthday. We run Creche, Play Group, Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Primary, and we meet every child before deciding where they start. Two children born the same month are often ready for different things, and putting a child where the calendar says rather than where they actually are is how a child ends up either bored or lost. It takes a few minutes and it saves a whole term.

Creche is care. These are babies, and the work is safety, comfort, feeding, sleeping and early sensory development — close attention from faces your child comes to know, with their home routine followed rather than an institutional one. Play Group is teaching. These children are past babyhood and ready to learn, so they are taught properly — lessons on a timetable, work set and marked, and tests and examinations at their own level. Nothing is pushed beyond what a child that age can manage, but nobody drifts either.

Yes, at their own level and with no pressure attached to it. The point is not the score. It is that a child learns early what it means to be given work, finish it, and be told honestly how it went. Children who pick that habit up in Play Group arrive in Nursery already knowing how to learn, and it shows for years afterwards.

For primary applicants there is a short, low-pressure assessment. It is not there to fail anyone — it tells us where your child actually is so we place them correctly. Creche, Play Group and Nursery children attend a settling-in session instead.

Usually, yes — and the assessment exists to be sure. If we find a gap, we tell you what it is and how we intend to close it. We do not quietly place a child a year down and leave you to work out why.

The child's birth certificate or age declaration, two recent passport photographs, the last report card or transfer letter if they are moving schools, an immunisation record for Creche, Play Group and Nursery, and a means of identification for the parent or guardian. If something is missing, come anyway — we will work with you.

Where a place exists, yes. And if we think a mid-year move is not in your child's interest, we will say so rather than take the enrolment.

We run the standard three-term Nigerian calendar. For the exact resumption and term dates of the current session, the office will send you the calendar — call 0803 690 9804.

Fees depend on the class and are reviewed each session, so we will not quote a figure here that could be out of date by the time you read it. Call 0803 690 9804 or message us on WhatsApp and we will send you the current schedule for the class your child is entering, with nothing hidden.

The office will break this down line by line when they send you the schedule — what is included, what is billed separately, and when each is due. You should never be surprised by a bill from us.

Talk to the office. We would rather have a frank conversation about timing than lose a child whose parents are doing their best.

A blended one. The Nigerian curriculum is fully covered, so pupils sit local entrance examinations properly prepared, and it is taught alongside international practice rather than bolted to it. The aim is a child who can transfer — here or abroad — without a year of catching up. There is a fuller explanation on our About page.

Honestly. Continuous assessment through the term and a written report at the end of it, marked to a real standard rather than a comfortable one. If your child is behind, the report will say so and tell you what we are doing about it.

No. General standards have been falling for years and a lot of schools have responded by making the report card look better instead of making the child better. We took the other road. An inflated score feels good for one evening and costs your child years.

Deliberately small — small enough that a struggling child is noticed in week two, not at the end of term when the report is due. For the exact number in the class you are considering this session, ask the office; it changes year to year and we would rather give you the real figure.

They move on to secondary school prepared, and they hold their position once they get there. That is the part of our record we are most willing to be judged on — ask us, and ask the parents.

Tell you early, in plain language, and then work the problem: what specifically is not landing, what we are changing in class, and what would help at home. You will not hear about it for the first time on a report card.

It is on the timetable and it is assessed like any other subject. Not an after-school extra, not a once-a-term demonstration.

The youngest children start with computational thinking — sequencing, patterns, following and giving instructions — through games and play, with no screen required. As they move up primary they progress to block-based coding and then to writing real code.

Our coding and STEM pathway was designed by the proprietor, a full-stack software developer with over a decade of professional experience building software for clients in Nigeria and abroad. It is built from what the industry actually needs rather than from a syllabus written years ago.

Because it is a skill that still has value long after the certificates are filed away, and because the thinking it builds — break the problem down, test it, fix it, try again — transfers straight into mathematics and writing. A child who can read well, reason clearly and instruct a computer has something nobody can take from them.

Ask the office about the current arrangement for your child's class before buying anything.

Our office is generally open Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm. Drop-off and dismissal times differ slightly by class, so confirm your child's with the office.

Feeding arrangements differ between Creche, Play Group and the older classes. The office will explain exactly what applies to your child's class.

It depends on the area you are coming from. Tell the office where you live and they will give you a straight answer on routes and availability.

Yes. The office will show you the current set and tell you where to get it.

The premises are enclosed and supervised, and children are released only to a parent or an adult you have authorised. If you have a specific concern, raise it when you visit — we would rather show you than describe it.

Regularly, and not only when something is wrong. You will hear what your child enjoyed and what they found hard, during the term rather than at the end of it.

Raise it with the head teacher or with the proprietress directly. There are no layers to get through here, and a complaint you can actually deliver is worth more to us than a polite silence.

Tell us in full at enrolment. Health details are recorded on the paper form at the office rather than online, they stay confidential, and the staff who need to know are briefed.

Please do. Come on an ordinary working day rather than a staged open day — sit in on a lesson, meet the teachers, ask whatever you want to ask. Message us first so someone is free to show you round properly.
